Releasing the emotional wound

After the huge success of Gina’s book in Mexico, Soltar la Herida now arrives in international markets.

Emotional wounds are more than just scars from the past as they often leave unconscious imprints on our souls. Unresolved traumas can develop an existence of their own and become our excuses for why we cannot live a fulfilling life. Yet, these wounds can also serve as catalysts to nourish and transform our experience of life.

Psychotherapist Gina Goldfeder details the emotional wound, its origin, and how our identification with it can obscure our self-perception. She draws on case studies and extensive experience from her practice to share tools for transcending pain and to facilitate healing, such as mantras, emotional ceremonies and rituals, amulets, journaling, and personal testimonies.

Releasing emotional wounds and forging a new identity is one of humanity’s most important challenges, but most of us do not know how to move beyond being victims to redefine our true selves. We tend to use unresolved traumas as silent interlocutors or even allies to justify why we can’t live fully, no matter how much we want it.

This book shows the way by structuring its themes in three parts: The first defines the nature of emotional wounds, their origins, and how we come to identify with them. The second offers practical tools for letting go of wounds and creating a renewed personal identity. The third introduces disciplines designed to help us enjoy life from a new perspective of self.

Learning to recognize, honor, and release our wounds allows us to turn them into opportunities for life.

Dreams Journal is a therapeutic and creative resource developed by Gina Goldfeder as a tool for self-knowledge and emotional healing. It combines introspective writing techniques with symbolic interpretation of the subconscious through dreams.

Inspired by Carl Gustav Jung’s theories about symbols, archetypes, and the collective unconscious, alongside concepts from Ira Progoff’s Intensive Journal method, this journal enables people to find meaning in their dream images and emotions to transform limiting patterns and strengthen the connection between body, mind, and spirit.

Gina has developed this resource for both personal use and group therapeutic and workshop settings, guiding individuals to explore their dreams and use this wisdom to clarify their emotional and life path. The course and tools are also part of her online teaching on the Alma Matters platform, where she instructs on interpreting and working with dreams as partners in personal growth.

This approach integrates ancestral symbolism with contemporary techniques, providing a rich experience grounded in Gina Goldfeder’s clinical and literary expertise.

In Unison: Literary Voices of Women with a Word. A sonic anthology where writers give voice to their own stories, personal reflections, private and communal encounters, and the questions they champion from their daily trenches and diverse publications.

Fourteen authors who have triumphed across literary genres unite in this audiobook, blending essays that probe what it means to be a woman in this historical moment—amid so much light and shadow cast upon us: Bárbara Anderson, Blanca Rosa Gutiérrez, Cynthia Zak, Edmée Pardo, Emily Atallah, Fermina Ponce, Gabriela Fonseca, Gina Goldfeder, María de Alva, Paola Gasca, Paulina Vieitez, Sofía Segovia, and Yareli Arizmendi.

Across their broad perspectives, these anthologized authors tackle violence, gender, identity, rights, motherhood, eroticism, care, space reclamation, freedom, feminisms, body, femininity, and more. In the words of editor Paulina Vieitez: “They spoke in unison—that is, without discord, from their own calling: Yes, ready to reveal what affects them and what moves them most deeply”—to join the conversation, to unsettle, to accompany.
